We are actively seeking a qualified and board-certified Otolaryngologist (ENT) to provide temporary coverage at a hospital-based practice near Rockville, VA. This locum tenens position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and well-established medical setting. Position Details:



  • Specialty: Otolaryngology (ENT) Generalist

  • Job Type: Locum Tenens

  • Location: Near Rockville, VA

  • Coverage Dates: 2025 dates to be determined

  • Shift Type: 24-hour call coverage (7 AM to 7 AM)


Key Responsibilities:



  • Surgical Procedures:

    • Thyroidectomy

    • Extended Parotidectomy

    • Tonsillectomy

    • Adenoidectomy

    • PE Tube placement



  • Non-Surgical Procedures:

    • Hearing evaluations

    • Evaluation and management of disorders involving ears, nose, throat, and skeletal facial structures



  • Endoscopic Procedures:

    • Septal and sinus surgery

    • Flexible and rigid bronchoscopy

    • Laryngoscopy



  • Facial Surgery:

    • Rhinoplasty

    • Treatment of facial fractures

    • Skin grafts/flaps




Facility Overview:



  • Practice Setting: Hospital-based

  • Average Number of Cases Per Day: 6

  • Trauma Level: No trauma designation

  • EMR System: EPIC

  • Patient Demographics: All ages

  • Types of Cases: Mix of surgical and non-surgical, with approximately 10% trauma-based


Requirements:



  • Board Certified in Otolaryngology (ENT) Required

  • Active Virginia State Medical License and DEA No exceptions, must already be licensed

  • BLS/ACLS Certification Required

  • Fellowship Training Highly preferred
