Locum Tenens Opportunity: Pathology Physician Near Fowler, MI
We are currently seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pathology Physician for a locum tenens position near Fowler, MI. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled pathologist looking to work in a hospital-based setting, providing essential diagnostic services while collaborating with a dedicated medical team. This position offers a stable, ongoing assignment with the possibility of extension as the facility seeks to recruit a permanent provider.

Work Details:
- Practice Setting: Hospital-based Pathology Lab
- Call Schedule:
- Weekly, alternating weeks
- Starts Friday at 5:00 PM and ends the following Friday at 8:00 AM
- Nights/weekend rotation is required
- Volume: Approximately 35-50 cases read per day, with the workload split between two pathologists
- Certification: CLIA certification held by the laboratory
- Case Types: Broad spectrum of pathology cases, requiring a well-rounded pathologist with experience in both common and complex diagnostic work
Requirements:
- Board Certification: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pathology
- State License: Must hold an active Michigan medical license or be eligible to obtain one
- Emergency/Temp Privileges: Not available; standard credentialing process applies
- Experience: Proven experience in a hospital-based pathology setting is preferred
Additional Information:
- Call Ratio: Every other week, covering nights and weekends
- Credentialing Timeframe: Standard timeframe applies; however, candidates must be ready to start as soon as September 30th
- Onboarding: Comprehensive orientation will be provided, along with support from the medical team to ensure a smooth transition into the role
