We are seeking a highly qualified Pathologist specializing in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology for a locum tenens position near Pauma Valley, CA.     • The practice includes notable GYN pathology and approximately one cancer case per week.



  • Flexible Call Schedule:

    • After-hours call is very rare, providing a good work-life balance.

    • Weekend call responsibilities are non-existent, allowing for personal time during weekends.

    • In case of complex cases, consulting pathologists are available at a sister hospital located about 45 minutes away, with a reliable courier service.



  • Technology and Support:

    • The facility uses the Cerner EMR system, ensuring efficient and streamlined patient management.

    • Although this is a solo practice, the pathologist will have access to consulting support, enhancing collaborative care.



  • Comprehensive Practice Setting:

    • The role is based in an inpatient setting, providing a focused and consistent work environment.

    • The position does not require hospital or surgery center privileges, simplifying the onboarding process.

    • The estimated credentialing timeframe is 60 days, so early application is encouraged.




Requirements:



  • Board Certification:

    • Candidates must be board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.



  • Licensure:

    • A valid California state license is required.



  • Certifications:

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.



  • Fellowship:

    • Fellowship training is preferred but not mandatory for this position.
