Seeking two BE/BC pediatric pulmonologists to develop a comprehensive pulmonology program and direct an existing Cystic Fibrosis ; Responsibilities include in-patient rotation coverage and general pulmonology clinic ; Scholarly and research interests are highly desirable, along with experience in teaching medical students and ;<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />


 Some of the responsibilities will include:



  • Direct a clinical program in pediatric pulmonology. Provide diagnostic and treatment services to children with conditions affecting the respiratory tract. Coordinate the efforts of related professionals to assure continuous availability of services. Monitor and take steps to enhance the quality of pulmonary services delivered at the Children’s Hospital and the department of pediatrics.

  • Serve as lead physician of an accredited Cystic Fibrosis ; Help coordinate the further development of the CF Center at the Children’s Hospital. Develop CF research activities

  • Develop educational programs and activities for medical students and residents in relation to pediatric pulmonology.

  • Maintain a spirit of inquiry and scholarship in the activities of the pulmonology ; 
Thriving education program with approximately 21 categorical pediatric residents and 32 combined medicine-pediatrics ; The department of pediatrics has 72 faculty members covering most pediatric subspecialties and primary care. These programs represent over 100 pediatric sub-specialists in 24 different disciplines, including the largest pediatric surgery program in ;It is a designated Level I Trauma Center, and a Pediatric Critical Care Center, as well as having a Regional Perinatal center, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. Located in the heart of Illinois, central to Chicago, Indianapolis, and St. Louis.
