Practice Setting


This position involves inpatient orthopaedic care within a dynamic medical setting. The facility utilizes the MediTech EMR system to streamline patient care processes. While both inpatient and outpatient settings are not required, the selected candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients.


Description/Other Details


As a locum tenens Orthopaedic Surgeon, you will be responsible for general orthopaedic surgery with a primary focus on 24-hour call coverage. The patient load typically includes 0-3 consults per day, 0-2 visits to the ED for closed reductions and admissions, and 0-2 surgeries per day, including wrist, ankle, and hip fractures, as well as I&D procedures.


The credentialing timeframe for this position is estimated to be 2 weeks. Additionally, per our bylaws, the provider must be within 20 minutes of the hospital at all times while on call. An active North Carolina license and DEA with an NC address are required for this role.


Requirements



  • Board Certification: Board certification is required.

  • Certifications Required: ACLS, ABLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are necessary.

  • License Requirement: Licensed in North Carolina only.
