Position Details: An outstanding opportunity exists for a board certified Psychiatrist to join a well-established 210+ member multi-specialty practice, part of the Arnot Health system at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elmira. Located in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate NY, this position will work very closely with the on-site Psychiatry Residents. Responsibilities include direct patient care, teaching, facilitating communication between Psychiatry and other medical services and consultation to medical services within the rural medical center, outpatient integrated care clinic and tele-psychiatry to outlying facilities. You will be supported by the exceptionally capable and experienced Nurses and Social Workers in the 25-bed Behavioral Sciences Unit that is certified by NYS OMH. Working in close collaboration with Family Services and sharing professional responsibilities with two other Psychiatrists supported by certified Nurse Practitioners, you will blend your talents to enhance the programs, the hospital and our well rounded rural and suburban community.
