What You'll Do:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for adult inpatients admitted to the behavioral health unit.


• Formulate individualized treatment plans, incorporating medication management, psychotherapy recommendations, and collaboration with other mental health professionals.


• Provide ongoing monitoring and management of patient care, adjusting treatment plans as needed.


• Offer crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing acute mental health episodes.


• Document all patient interactions and treatment decisions thoroughly and efficiently within the Cerner electronic medical records system.


• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and ensure coordinated treatment approaches.


• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in psychiatry and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities (time permitting).

Who You Are:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a current and active license to practice medicine in California (only).


• Board-certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) (required).


• Current BLS certification (required).


• A commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to adults experiencing mental health challenges.


• Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.


• The ability to manage a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of clinical judgment and decision-making.
