We are actively searching for a skilled and dedicated physician to join our team and provide coverage for a specific need within our behavioral health department. What You'll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for adult inpatients admitted to the behavioral health unit.
- Formulate individualized treatment plans, incorporating medication management, psychotherapy recommendations, and collaboration with other mental health professionals.
- Provide ongoing monitoring and management of patient care, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Offer crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing acute mental health episodes.
- Document all patient interactions and treatment decisions thoroughly and efficiently within the Cerner electronic medical records system.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and ensure coordinated treatment approaches.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in psychiatry and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities (time permitting).
Who You Are:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a current and active license to practice medicine in California (only).
- Board-certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) (required).
- Current BLS certification (required).
- A commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to adults experiencing mental health challenges.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- The ability to manage a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of clinical judgment and decision-making.
