Seeking a full-time faculty member to serve as the Director of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Service.  The position emphasizes a leadership role and an active engagement in clinical, educational, and scholarly ;The Director will report directly to the Chair of the Department of Psychiatric Medicine and will be a member of the senior leadership team within the Department. The position offers an excellent blend of administrative and leadership opportunities; clinical care; teaching; and scholarship in this growing, multi-disciplinary, and collegial Department.  This is a state-employed position with the full state employee benefits.

Highlights include: 

·         52-bed psychiatric service that houses acute beds, combined MI-ID beds, and combined Med-Psych beds 

·         Knowledge of evidence-based clinical programs related to the care of patients who have mental illness, both in the community and inpatient settings 

·         Full spectrum of outpatient diagnostic services and therapeutic services for both adult and child & adolescents provided by psychiatrists, psychologists, LCSW's 

·         Didactic and clinical teaching including clinical supervision of residents, medical students and other learners 

·         Individual resident supervision 

·         Participation on hospital, medical school and department committees 

·         Weekly Schedule Monday – Friday  

·         Shared call schedule nights & weekends  

Preferred Additional Qualifications 

·         ABPN added qualification in psychosomatic ;

·         Experience as a C-L director or associate director at a tertiary care ;

·         Experience working in clinical settings in medical school Department of ;

·         Demonstrated ability to provide organizational leadership and ;

·         Experience in working collaboratively with other mental health professionals as part of a multidisciplinary ;

·         Experience in conducting clinical or services ;

·         Experience working in a managed care setting.
