Are you a dedicated Psychiatrist seeking a locum tenens opportunity in Alaska? We are looking for a board-certified Psychiatry physician to provide high-quality inpatient care in a supportive and collaborative environment. This opportunity is ideal for a provider who enjoys making a meaningful impact on patients' lives while working in a beautiful and serene location.


Job Details:



  • Location: Near Palmer, AK

  • Start Date: January 6, 2025

  • Duration: Ongoing

  • Schedule:

    • Scheduled clinical hours plus call.

    • Call response time required: 20 minutes.



  • Setting: Inpatient consult liaison (no outpatient care required).

  • Patient Load: To be determined.

  • Specialty Areas:

    • Anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, and more.

    • Familiarity with pharmacotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy required.



  • Support Staff: Details to be provided.


Requirements:



  • Board Certification: Required.

  • Licensure: Must hold a valid Alaska license or qualify under the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).

  • Certifications: BLS certification required.

  • Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days.

  • Experience: Preference for candidates with a fellowship or specialized training in Psychiatry.
