Position: Psychiatrist IP Adult/Geri Location: Pittsburgh, PA MPLT Healthcare is looking for Physicians who Understand the Urgency, Never Give Up, and Have the Courage to Excel in the forever changing medical industry! We have numerous opportunities for an experienced Inpatient Adult/Geriatric Psychiatrist with highly competitive pay rates in Pittsburgh, PA. Position Details:
Inpatient unit = 29 beds
Call schedule: 1-2 days per week. 3 days on occasion.
Call days per month: Total of 10-12 days per month to include one weekend. On call weekdays by phone from 5 pm until 8 am the following morning. On call weekends round on psychiatric units andsee new consultations in the ED and med/surg on Saturday and Sunday.
Avg Patient Encounters while on call: Varies
Avg Called in while on call: Varies, about 2-4 admissions, plus calls for behavioral issues, PRN medications, non-routine incidents on the unit
Response time: 30 minutes
Mid-levels assist with new evals and summaries
EMR: Epic
Total Daily Encounters: Approx. 12-15
Department/Units Rounding: Adult, DEM, consults
