Locum Tenens Opportunity: Psychiatrist Providers near Tornillo, TX

We are currently seeking Psychiatrist Providers to conduct Initial PTSD exams, follow-up PTSD exams, and other mental health exams nationwide.


Details:



  • Willing to accept providers with sporadic availability - will be on an as-needed basis.

  • Two (2) options for coverage:

    • Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility

    • Schedule Veterans within your own practice



  • Will bill per exam, providing flexibility in workload and schedule.

  • Initial PTSD exams, follow-up PTSD exams, and other mental health exams are the primary focus.

  • DMA certification available, which allows providers to obtain CME credits. However, certification is required once privileged if not already certified.

  • Own personal laptop (NO MACs) required for documentation purposes.

  • Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s).

  • Evaluations are to be completed in VES's provider portal, streamlining the documentation process.

  • Record review is required in most cases to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Multiple providers needed to meet the demand for mental health assessments.

  • Proficiency in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions is essential.

  • Active and unrestricted full license is required for practice.

  • Completion of DMA training is necessary to become DMA certified.

  • CV must include current home address and a copy of ECFMG certificate if attending school in a different country.


This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to mental health assessments, particularly for veterans, by conducting Initial PTSD exams, follow-up PTSD exams, and other mental health exams. Providers will have the flexibility to work on an as-needed basis, allowing for a balanced workload and schedule.
