An exceptional locum tenens opportunity is currently available for an experienced Radiation Oncologist in the picturesque state of Michigan, near Palmer. The assignment is set to commence on December 26, 2023, and will extend indefinitely, offering ongoing coverage. The schedule entails weekdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with no call duties required, allowing for a balanced work-life arrangement.


This facility is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled physician to provide coverage, ensuring high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate must be board certified in Radiation Oncology and possess a fellowship in the field. Board eligibility is also considered, welcoming qualified candidates with active licenses in Michigan to bid for this exciting opportunity.


The locum tenens assignment involves outpatient care, with an estimated patient load of 15 individuals per day. The selected physician will showcase proficiency in various radiation therapy techniques, including brachytherapy, intracavitary, interstitial, and external beam therapy. The facility is well-equipped with a Cerner Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, ensuring organized and efficient patient management.


For this specific coverage, the facility does not accept multiple providers, emphasizing a focus on continuity and consistency in patient care. The credentialing process is estimated to be completed within 60 days, with the option for temporary privileges.


Support for the locum physician will be provided by a designated number of support staff, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Medical Assistants (MAs), and office staff. While there is no requirement for supervising advance practice providers, the physician may be involved in supervising residents or teaching staff if the need arises.
