Are you an accomplished Interventional Radiologist seeking a dynamic locum tenens opportunity? Look no further! We are currently searching for a skilled Interventional Radiologist to provide coverage on the listed dates and contribute to a vital healthcare team. This position is located near OLD STATION, CA, offering a unique and fulfilling experience.


Job Overview:




  • Dates of Coverage:



    • 24hr call Sat/Sun

    • OR

    • Friday 5p-Monday 8a coverage for the weekend.

    • ASAP - Ongoing




  • Details:



    • 24-hour S/S coverage, periodic night and weeknight coverage (5p-8a)

    • Setting: Acute care hospital with Level II Trauma Designation and Thrombectomy-capable Stroke Center designation. NIR services for stroke are provided by a hospital-contracted NIR group and are not part of the locum IR job.

    • Duties: Emergency call coverage for IR services for weekends and holidays, may include Friday PM call (5pm-8am). Also includes supervision of procedures using fluoroscopy (non-OR procedures).

    • Cerner Care B, Radiologists also use PowerScribe 360




  • Support Staff:



    • Hospital department Radiology Techs, no APP (PA) support staff for IR services.




  • Reason for Coverage:



    • Gaps in coverage




  • Physicians Requirements:



    • ACLS certified

    • Must adhere to Sedation/Analgesia Protocols (for Adult & Pediatrics)

VASCULAR - INTERVENTIONAL:



  • Percutaneous Transcatheter Infusion Therapy

  • Percutaneous Embolotherapy

  • Percutaneous Arterial/Venous Stent Placement

  • Percutaneous IVC Filter Placement

  • Central Venous Access

  • Percutaneous Vertebroplasty

  • Percutaneous Vertebroplasty via Balloon Kyphoplasty


NONVASCULAR - INTERVENTIONAL:



  • Biopsies

  • Fluoroscopy

  • US or CT Guidance

  • FNA or Core Breast Localization

  • Percutaneous Transhepatic Cholangiography

  • Percutaneous Antegrade Pyelography

  • Lymphangiography

  • Abscess Drainages

  • Cyst/Fluid Aspirations

  • HSG Percutaneous Transhepatic Biliary Drainage

  • Percutaneous Nephrostomy Tube Placement

  • Percutaneous Transhepatic Cystostomy

  • Percutaneous Stone Extractions

  • Percutaneous Transhepatic Biliary Dilation/Stent Placement

  • Fallopian Tube Catheterization

  • Eximer Lase
