Seeking a Skilled and Experienced Interventional Radiologist


Are you a dedicated and highly skilled Interventional Radiologist (IR) seeking a challenging and rewarding locum tenens opportunity? We're searching for a qualified physician to join our team in a growing community near Radnor, OH. This ongoing opportunity offers a mix of weekday and call coverage, starting as soon as possible (ASAP).


Responsibilities:



  • Perform a variety of image-guided minimally invasive procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of adult patients across various conditions.

  • Utilize fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and CT guidance for procedures such as biopsies, vascular interventions, drain placements, and pain management procedures.

  • Collaborate with referring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.

  • Interpret complex imaging studies and accurately document procedures within the EPIC electronic medical record system (EMR) and PACS picture archiving and communication system.

  • Maintain a high level of patient care and safety throughout all procedures.

  • Respond to emergent interventional radiology needs within the hospital setting.


Qualifications:



  • Active and unrestricted Ohio (OH) medical license is required.

  • Board certification in Interventional Radiology is mandatory.

  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is mandatory.

  • Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical interventional radiology setting is preferred.

  • Strong clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and a comprehensive knowledge base in interventional radiology procedures.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams in a high-pressure environment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment with on-call responsibilities.


Additional Considerations:



  • This locum tenens opportunity offers a Monday-Friday schedule (8:00 am - 5:00 pm) with call coverage on weekdays and weekends.

  • You will be joining a supportive team of two Interventional Radiologists in a hospital and imaging center setting.

  • The facility manages a high patient volume with approximately 80,000 annual emergency room visits.

  • The call schedule requires coverage 7 days per week, ensuring continuous patient care.

  • The practice utilizes a full EPIC and PACS system for documentation and image management.

  • The typical daily caseload ranges between 15-25 procedures, focusing on general interventional radiology with a strong emphasis on biopsy and cancer-related procedures.
