Interventional Radiology Locum Tenens Opportunity Near Roseville, CA
Job Details:
We are currently seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Interventional Radiologist for a locum tenens position near Roseville, CA. This opportunity offers a chance to provide critical services in a General Acute Care Hospital that is stroke-certified but not a trauma-designated facility. The position is available ASAP and will continue on an ongoing basis, offering stability and flexibility for qualified candidates.
Key Details:
- Start Date: ASAP - Ongoing
- Shift Type: Day shifts with night call after 4:30 PM
- Shift Hours:
- Day: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Night Call: Begins after 4:30 PM
- Weekend Requirements: Yes
- On Call Requirements: Yes
- Practice Setting: General Acute Care Hospital
- Support Staff:
- Radiology Nurses and Technicians
- Large Radiology group for overflow and after-hours reads
- Duties Include:
- Hospital coverage, including Interventional Radiology (IR) needs and stroke CTs
- IR Procedures: Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, Nephrostomy tubes, Intra-abdominal abscess drainage, Chest tubes, Suprapubic catheters
- CT/US-guided biopsies (Thyroid, Lung, etc.)
- Barium studies and lumbar punctures
- Patients Per Day: Varies based on hospital needs
Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification/Eligibility: Required in Radiology
- Required Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration registration)
- Licensure: Active California medical license required
Preferred Experience:
- Procedural Skills: Expertise in Interventional Radiology procedures, including stroke CTs and other emergency department and ICU imaging studies
- EMR System: Experience with Cerner preferred
