Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of Interventional Radiology procedures, including thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, intra-abdominal abscess drainage, chest tubes, and suprapubic catheters.


• Conduct CT/US biopsies (thyroid, lung, etc.), barium studies, and lumbar punctures.


• Interpret stroke CT scans and other acute care imaging studies for emergency department and ICU patients.


• Collaborate effectively with nurses, technicians, and referring physicians to ensure optimal patient care.


• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Cerner electronic medical record system.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and current California medical license required


• Board certification in Interventional Radiology (or a related specialty) mandatory


• Active DEA registration required


• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification a must


• Proven experience performing a variety of IR procedures and interpreting acute care imaging studies


• Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and hand-eye coordination


• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
