Locum Tenens Opportunity: Interventional Cardiologist Needed Near Fort Scott, KS ASAP to Ongoing


We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Cardiologist for a locum tenens opportunity near Fort Scott, KS. This role offers an exciting chance to provide high-quality cardiovascular care in a well-established outpatient setting. The position is available from ASAP through an ongoing basis, allowing flexibility for physicians seeking both short-term or extended locum tenens assignments.


As an Interventional Cardiologist, you will provide scheduled clinical care and participate in call coverage. This is an excellent opportunity to cover for a vacationing physician while potentially expanding your professional connections for future opportunities in 2025, as the facility continues to assess its needs for the upcoming year.


Position Overview:



  • Specialty: Interventional Cardiology

  • Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call

  • Call Coverage: Yes

Job Responsibilities:



  • Provide outpatient interventional cardiology care.

  • Handle call responsibilities as scheduled.

  • Work closely with the cardiology team to ensure high standards of care.


Additional Details:



  • Board Certification: Required (Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Interventional Cardiology).

  • Licensure: Must hold a current Kansas medical license.

  • EMR System: Epic.

  • Patients Per Shift: No inpatient responsibilities; outpatient only.

  • Holidays Covered: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, and 4th of July.


Qualifications:



  • Board Certification: Must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Interventional Cardiology.

  • Licenses and Certifications: Active Kansas license required, BLS and PALS certification required.

  • Credentialing: Credentialing timeframe is estimated at 60-90 days, with expedited credentialing possible for the right candidate.
